Who are the Lions?

Since 1917, Lions have served the world’s population through hard work and commitment to make a difference in the lives of people everywhere.  With around 1.3 million members in more than 45,000 Clubs in over 201 countries and areas, Lions Clubs International is the largest service organization in the world.

Waterman Lions History &Activities

We were chartered in 1954 by the Paw Paw Lions.  We purchased land and developed the Lions Club Park that is on the Southwest side of town.  We hold fundraisers to support College Scholarships, Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Party, Back to School Kids Party, Senior Citizens Dinner, Blood Drives, Ski For Sight and Fishing Derby.  These fundraisers consist of Pork Chop BBQ in April, Antique Tractor Show in July, Candy Day in October, Pork Chop Sandwiches at Honey Hill Orchard in September/October, Fruit Sale in December, Christmas Tree Sale in December and Pancake Breakfast in December.

The Waterman Lions meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Community Building or Lions Park Shelter with a General Membership meeting starting at 7:00 pm.  We meet on the 4th Thursday at various restaurants for a Dinner Meeting / Program Night.  Several of these Dinner Meetings are with our Spouses.

Dues currently are $5.00 per month and we bill each member quarterly.
